Pieces of You, Pieces of Me
In Pieces of You, Pieces of Me I am interested in how biologically and metaphorically parts of me contribute to ‘the making’ of my offspring and the direct relationship this has to the making of figurative sculpture. My contribution is further emphasized visually by the placement of my physical parts (facial features, hands, feet, etc) into the child figures. These pieces of myself were cast and shrunk down to size to fit within the sculpture. Through this process the sculpture incorporates parts of myself in a literal sense much like my child would in a biological sense.
